As an HR professional, I was frequently told I was different. I did not try to talk people into staying with an organization, but asked why they were pursuing something different. If the answer was about their passion, I encouraged them to pursue it. It was obvious that people following passion while using their natural abilities appeared to be effortlessly moving through life with joy.
